What We Do?
Environment Awareness Social Service trust works aggressively in creating awareness about environmental issues. In view of wide range of environmental problems faced by southern suburban areas, the committee members of the trust has laid concrete action plans in resolving the issues and generating greater awareness among the public at large.
TREE PLANTATION
SST inculcates the habit of tree plantation within the society, thereby focusing on green and clean environment. SST encourages tree plantation in nearby schools, temples, churches and in and around the community. We provide tree-guards for the saplings and also do regular follow-up with the help of the Trustees of the Trust. Below is SST’s contribution towards tree plantation.

Other Activities:
SST conducts painting, elocution and essay competitions on environment issue for school children to create awareness in the young minds. SST arranges gatherings and lectures are rendered by eminent environmentalists. Leaflets, Banners, Posters and Handouts are distributed to all the households in the nearby surrounding areas. Rallies are conducted with school children highlighting the various issues. Every year SST conducts tree plantation campaigns in schools and colleges. SST conducts awareness programs on following topics:
• Energy conservation
• Use of wind and solar energy (ie) solar cookers and heaters
• Solid waste management (ie) Household waste and composting or vermin composting.
• Cleanliness drive / Waste management (Garbage , Plastic Waste and Bio- Medical waste)
• Plantation of tree samplings in the compounded Area’s

Donations:
Creating awareness about current environmental situation in the world. SST also donates nursery trees, so as we enable them to become educate about environmental awareness.
